Mr Kim Jones, the recently employed artistic director of the luxury designer brand, Fendi, is ready to get to work after replacing the longtime director, Karl Lagerfeld since his passing in 2019.
On Wednesday, September 9, the Italian fashion house announced that Jones will be taking over Fendi womenswear, his first venture into the category. In his role, Jones will oversee the creative direction of Fendi women’s haute couture, ready-to-wear, and fur collections.

What many people might not know is that he is also the creative director for Dior Homme (their menswear brand), since 2018, and he gets to continue working for both brands. Isn’t that just awesome?
Kim Jones had this to say on his Instagram page:
“I would like to profoundly thank Monsieur Arnault, Pietro Beccari, Serge Brunschwig and Silvia Venturini Fendi for this incredible opportunity. Working across two such prestigious houses is a true honor as a designer and to be able to join the house of Fendi as well as continuing my work at Dior Men’s is a huge privilege.”
