I’m Rita Ahunanya, known as THATOPERATIONSCHICK on Instagram. I am the Lead Consultant at Crestructure Consulting. As a Business Operations/Structure Strategist, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to help businesses thrive. With a background in Mathematics and a second degree in Business Management, along with certifications like Oracle Certified Associate.
I have developed a strong foundation in both analytical thinking and strategic management from over 13 years in HR, Operations and Sales in several industries from manufacturing to retail to and gained valuable insights into the intricacies of successful business management. I am a firm believer in the power of processes and implementation, which drive efficiency and effectiveness in any organization.
What sets me apart is my passion for helping businesses succeed at any level. I am not only dedicated to providing expertise and guidance, but I also stay proactive in my learning journey, constantly seeking out new trends and areas of growth. This commitment to ongoing education has enabled me to enhance my skills and offer valuable insights that foster business growth and stability for my clients.
One interesting aspect about me is that I thrive in the behind-the-scenes role. What does your business do and how it started?
At Crestructure, we offer an extensive range of services that cover every aspect of running a business. This includes Accountability Services, Business Structuring and Restructuring, Strategic Planning, Talent Acquisition, Inventory management etc. Working closely with our clients, we thoroughly analyze their operations to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and implement customized strategies that foster growth and profitability. Recognizing that every business is unique, we tailor our solutions to address their specific needs and goals.
Our firm belief in the potential of businesses drives our dedication to supporting struggling ventures that are unable to reach their full potential. We are committed to providing guidance and assistance to business owners who face challenges in harnessing the true power of their enterprises.
The business was established to assist business owners in reclaiming their personal lives and allowing them to focus on more essential aspects of their businesses.
Many business owners find themselves overwhelmed by day-to-day operations, leaving little time for strategic planning and networking. I had previously helped friends with businesses generating an annual turnover of NGN100m free themselves from tasks such as tracking deliveries, confirming payments, implementing marketing plans, and managing inventory.
How do you solve your customer’s challenge?
Our initial step in working with clients involves a complimentary 30-minute one-on-one business consultation. During this consultation, we actively listen to our clients, paying attention not only to what they say but also to what they may not express explicitly. Based on the challenges they are facing, we develop a tailored structure or process that best addresses their specific needs and follow through till all processes are fully implemented.
For some clients, the solution may involve increasing their workforce, establishing and implementing policies, or simply gaining a better understanding of their job roles. It is crucial to recognize that every business is unique, and the solution to most issues can be discovered through open and non-judgmental conversations.
My ideal customers encompass a wide range of businesses, including start-ups, declining businesses, and growing and mature businesses. The common thread among them is the shared desire for growth. These ideal clients recognize the importance of continually evolving and maturing their businesses to maintain their position in the marketplace. They understand that sustainable growth requires seeking solutions rather than shortcuts, and they are willing to invest in the long-term stability and expansion of their ventures.
Can you describe/outline your typical day?
A typical day at work for me involves engaging in strategic meetings with clients, diligently following up on assigned tasks, participating in recruitment interviews, conducting Zoom meetings with prospective clients, and handling client briefs. Through active listening, thoughtful analysis, and targeted solutions, I strive to provide valuable guidance and support to our clients, driving their success and fostering long-lasting partnerships.
How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?
I have an amazing work-life balance!
What motivates you?
When my clients call me to share their wins and celebrate their successes, it motivates me to do even more and help more business owners. Seeing them succeed and grow their businesses brings me a great sense of fulfilment and joy.
The ultimate goal of my work as a business consultant is to help my clients achieve tangible results and positive outcomes in their businesses.
What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear would be failure. Failure to me is accepting defeat and not trying another way, so, every day, I keep trying. Giving up is not in my plan.
Who has been your greatest inspiration?
My greatest inspiration comes from my father, who taught me the importance of asking questions and understanding the reasons behind actions. This skill has been invaluable in helping business owners realize that the path to success involves continuous growth and upward progression. Guiding them with patience and encouraging thoughtful analysis, I empower them to unlock their potential and achieve sustainable growth. What advice would you give to people who want to become entrepreneurs?
A detailed documented roadmap is essential for business success. It provides a clear plan of action, helps identify obstacles, promotes effective communication, and enables tracking progress and making informed adjustments. With a well-structured roadmap, businesses can navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve their goals with confidence and efficiency.

If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?
I had this dream for ages of how I could help businesses, in all my 9-5 jobs, every business felt my impact in creating and implementing seamless processes. However, I self-sabotaged by not starting or implementing my plans for myself.
So, any book I would write about myself would be – Just Start!
