Tari Wilhelmina Opuzi is a Nigerian entrepreneur. Founder and CEO of Golden Events Decor Group (comprising Golden Events, Golden Events Academy, and Decor by Golden Events) A leading event company in Nigeria.
Also a Co-founder of Amaris Logistics. Tari Wilhelmina Opuzi was born on the 29th of March 1982 in Lagos State but hails from Bayelsa State.
What Does Your Business Do?
We are event planners, event decorators, event facilitators, and educators.

We help bring your dream events/design to life, and we bear all your burdens.
How Do You Solve Your Customers Challenge?
We fine-tune your concept, select the right vendors for you, negotiate the best price, advice, and execute.
Who Are Your Ideal Customers?
Gen Z brides 🤣, People who are busy and want to have a great event, CEOs, and people who love luxury.
Can You Describe/Outline Your Typical Day?
I Wake up around 5 am to pray and meditate and help get the kids ready for school, get ready for meetings or head to the office if no meetings, and respond to emails, chats, and text messages.
I also follow up on clients and vendors, go through my social media accounts to post or check other’s posts, have breakfast or lunch depending on the time, because some days can be really busy, then I get back home around 5 pm or 6 pm go for a night walk around the estate for 2hours or more, and lastly, do some reading before going to bed.
How Has Being An Entrepreneur Affected Your Family Life?
Not that bad, I have control of my time except on some days when we leave very early and come back late or don’t even come back at all, but being an entrepreneur has helped my finances to grow and I’m able to take care of my family and do things for them.
What Motivates You?
I knew from childhood I wanted to be an entrepreneur but didn’t know which or how because I am gifted with many talents but the drive to have control of my time and having time for family motivated me.
How Do You Generate New Ideas?
I generate ideas through attending trainings or YouTube, sometimes Ideas come from my dreams, also my environment, and watching movies.
What Is Your Greatest Fear, And How Do You Manage Fear?
My greatest fear was not believing in myself and how I managed that, I had to build myself confidence.
How Do You Define Success?
When I achieve any goal.
Do You Believe There Is A Pattern Or Formula To Becoming A Successful Entrepreneur?
Yes, I do, Success doesn’t just happen overnight, you have to be very skillful at what you do, put the right structures in place, invest in yourself, and get a mentor and accountability partner.
Keep showing up every day even days when you don’t feel like it, believe in yourself, and keep getting better at what you do.
What Is Your Favourite Aspect Of Being An Entrepreneur?
That would be having full control of my time and being able to bring people’s vision to life and also being a solution provider.
How Did The Idea For Your Business Come About?
I saw the needs in my circle and I also love creating beautiful ambiance because I don’t feel comfortable whenever I attend an event and it’s not properly organized.
What Advice Would You Give To People Who Wants To Become Entrepreneurs?
Passion alone will not sustain you, but the big picture or vision will.
It is not going to be an easy ride, but with patience perseverance and the right structure is what you need.
If You Had The Chance To Start Your Career Over Again, What Would You Do Differently?
Go for the big shots, Publicize more, and build visibility. I was too shy to say what I do.
