The biggest fashion event platform in Nigeria that aims at promoting young and emerging fashion designers is set to go big as we celebrate our 5th anniversary of Nigerian Student Fashion & Design Week. NSFDWeek also showcases current collections from established designers who are role models to these emerging designers.
This Engineering undergraduate at University of Lagos started his fashion line by learning from a friend who is a tailor. He will be showcasing his collection “The Tailor” at NSFDW5.
She started by making dresses for her siblings’ dolls and turning her mother’s wrappers into crop tops before expanding to proper fashion line. After graduating from University of Nsukka, she decided to head to Evelyn tailor school of fashion and design.
This recent graduate of Igbinedion University Okada started his fashion line in his 2nd year in University in 2013. His unique style of dressing attracted attention from his fellow students and they started requesting for his designs.
On his designs. “Simple and sophisticated in a complex way because there is an inspiration behind every design which I have to interpret in my own unique style”.
The creative director behind M’briel fashion is Maureen Ebhodaghe, a graduate of Ambrose Alli University where she studied agriculture (soil science) and went on to study at Zaris fashion and style academy. Her growth into fashion started naturally, she just loved the idea of combining fabrics of different colours.
As the name implies, this designer started a fashion line for kids as a hobby but now a business empire. The graduate of Computer Science from Nnamdi Azikwe University wants more awareness for fashion lines for children.
