Cape Town Fashion Week (CTFW) is making a big comeback with fashion, retail, art, music and tech this year from the 21st – 25th of March, 2023.
It’s all going down at the Cape Town (CT) International Convention Centre – an environmentally conscious venue renowned for its sustainability efforts and ultramodern facilities – as African Fashion International (AFI) celebrates 15 years of African innovation with a luxurious experience in South Africa while emphasising the importance sustainably produced fashion.
According to the convener,
AFI has ventured into fashion retail through its property, House of Nala, using online and physical channels, to extend the company offerings along the Fashion and Apparel industry. The Cape Town fashion week will also host a trade Expo for other sellers.
AFI will welcome designers and other stakeholders from across Africa to network and sell their products to Buyers, African Trendsetters, and those who create fashion statements across the continent.
In addition to opening doors for the youth who will have their own Expo during the Cape Town fashion week, Xperience AFI, the company is committed to developing a pipeline of young designers in the creative industry through its Fastrack program.
“The fashion industry not only sets fashion and style trends but is also a huge economic engine that provides small businesses an opportunity to trade and earn income. The industry provides export income to governments and creates jobs in the fashion apparel and manufacturing sector,” says Founder and Executive Chairman of AFI, Dr Precious Moloi- Motsepe.
