Over the years, handbag designs have gotten weirder and weirder and this trend doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon. Designers are coming up with more unrealistic designs and the world of fashion is eating it up!
In February French label Jacquemus debuted the “Mini Le Chiquito” a teeny tiny bag that could only hold a lipstick or air-pods. The latest trend in ironical bags is from Milan-based label Off-White. They debuted the “Meteor” bag at their spring 2020 runway show.
The bag is punctured with two medium-size holes on the top and bottom corner of the right side of the bag, and one giant hole on the bottom corner of the left side of the bag. According to the brand, the bag which can’t actually carry anything, is intentionally “Unfunctional.”
The bag was inspired by a meteor shower, hence the conspicuous holes and the name of the bag. This “unfunctional” bag currently retails for $1,655, what a steep price to pay for fashion! Is it worth it??? We’ll leave that for you to decide.
