“Welcome to the Age of Revolution” is the beginning of an announcement by media personality, Toke Makinwa as she shares her involvement with the Future Awards Africa 2020 themed  ‘The Age of Revolution’.

This theme seeks to celebrate the steps taken to give Africa better future,  by tackling it’s problems head on. Some of the movements that are being recognised are the End SARS Protests in Nigeria and the Shut It All Down movement in Namibia.

In an official statement made by the conveners of the Future Awards Africa via their Instagram account, they said:

“We are at the cusp of a new era, an era where millions of young people across Africa are ultimately demanding a radical change to the established order and offering new solutions to longstanding problems. From #Metoo to #EndSars to the #ShutItAllDown movement, we are raising our voices at protests making it clear that the new vanguard is here to stay.

Join @tfaafrica host @TokeMakinwa and The Future Festival 2020 as we celebrate the new Africa, a generation coming into its own power – through diversity, inclusion and accountability culture.

The time we have been waiting for is finally here! See you in November where she will also unveil her co-host.”
