Tell us about Yourself
I am Adenike Adebagbo, Director of Operations at Beth medical spa, a world-class beauty spa located at Block 16 Plot 14 Chief Albert Iyorah Street Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State. I am a wife and a mother of two beautiful kids. I am also a licensed aesthetician with years of experience.
What does your business do and how it started
Beth medical spa is a beauty aesthetic company that focuses on the health and wellness of the skin and body. We find solutions to all skin problems thereby enhancing the physical appearance, body wellness and mental welfare of our clients.
We are not the traditional so-called “skin care experts” popular in Nigeria. We don’t support bleaching, organic creams and other harmful products to the skin.
We have been enlightening people about bleaching and solving the numerous issues associated with the bleaching of the skin in Nigeria.

The need to enlighten and educate a lot more people about the right skin and beauty practices in addition to saving people from skin cancer and other skin issues contributed to starting BethBeauty Medical Spa.

How do you solve your customer’s challenge?
Solving our client’s challenges is multidimensional as each client’s case is peculiar and we have to handle each person specially according to the issue and skin.
It can be very easy and sometimes it can be challenging too. Easy because we are experts in the skin and beauty care field with years of experience, Challenging because some people can be impatient and need quick or magical skincare solutions, which is why they fall into that skin health mess in the first place.
The first thing we do is to ensure we consult with them and understand what the issue is, understand what they want and then prescribe the best treatment for them.
When they follow the guidelines and routines we create for them religiously, they start seeing changes in their skin health.
Who are your ideal customers?
Our ideal clients consist of people that are ready to change the narrative of their skin health and embrace a healthy lifestyle.
People that are cautious of their skin health. People that are willing to relax and be taken care of (in Mercy Eke’s voice) Lol.
People that know the value of health and wellness. People that want the best skin and beauty treatment available in Nigeria. People that are ready to learn and commit to our routine. These set of people constitute our ideal clients.
Can you describe/outline your typical day?
A Typical day at Beth medical spa is one we always look forward to. We start the day with prayers, then a little exercise, and review and then we proceed to speaking with and pampering our clients.
We enjoy helping people achieve great skin, helping them relax mentally and relieving their stress.This is what makes us happy as well. The majority of our clients state that we are happy people and our Spa is where they will be whenever they need to be happy.
How has being an entrepreneur affected your family?
Honestly, I used to think it will not be an easy task. But it is so easy, all thanks to my supportive husband and understanding children. They frequently visit spas too and quietly enjoy the atmosphere there.
Also, I am doing what I love and making people happy. My family loves me and understands this so it’s been a memorable and good experience for me.
What motivates you?
My motivation is from God, my past exploits and looking at where I am today, I know it can only be greater.
Beth Beauty started from a small room, now we have a whole building, world-class equipment and numerous loyal clients. All thanks to God. We are going bigger. We are not there yet but watch out.
What is your greatest fear?
I fear nothing because I know God is by my side, in front of me and behind me.
How do you define success?
Success to me is when you can provide solutions to the problems of people and society. When you can make people happy and confident about themselves, when you can transform the lives of people and bring a smile to their faces, that is a success.
What is your favourite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
There are a lot of Favorites. Lol.
One of my favourite parts of being an entrepreneur is planning my busy day and hearing clients give positive feedback on the job we have done at the Spa.
If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Nothing Really. Probably starting the Beth Medical Spa way earlier.
What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Sound Knowledge of your field and what you do, ability to understand and proffer solutions to client’s problems and money management skill
Who has been your greatest inspiration?
My Biggest inspiration is God and then people that are interested in embracing a healthy lifestyle and engaging in good skin health practices.
These people inspire us and make us want to do more in the aspect of skin and beauty health and the enlightenment on the risk of harmful skin care practices.
What advice would you give to people who want to become entrepreneurs?
Be patient, get more skills and knowledge, and understand money and time management. You can do whatever you set your mind to do.
It is very important you are prayerful and put God first.
