Not many people know about 2019 movie that has now become Nigeria’s movie submission for the 2021 Oscars, so we’re here to tell you all you need to know about ‘The Milkmaid’.
One might assume that the inspiration for this movie is the insurgency that has been experienced in the country, however, it’s the Ten Naira note that inspired the movie. Amazing, right?

A Theater Arts graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, as well as an On-Air-Personality with a local media organization, Anthonieta Kalunta emerged from an extensive audition process with her selection for the lead role of the elder sister, Aisha in The Milkmaid, her film debut
Gambo Usman Kona
He is an accomplished actor and filmmaker in the local film industry in Taraba State with consistent participation in several movie productions over the last decade. He portrays the lead male character of Dangana in The Milkmaid.
Desmond Ovbiagele is the writer of the project, while Ibrahim Rammal is the director and producer of the movie.
