Lagos, Nigeria | September 2026:

Exquisite Magazine’s 6th Wellness & Style Live Experience has successfully concluded, delivering an immersive and transformative day that challenged conventional ideas about productivity, success and wellbeing.

Held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, the 2026 experience was themed “Rest Is a Skill, Not a Reward – How to Live Well Without Burning Out.”

The event brought together women and wellness-conscious professionals for a day dedicated to pausing, reconnecting, learning, relaxing and enjoying life intentionally.

Rather than being another traditional conference, the Wellness & Style Live Experience was designed as an experiential reset, giving participants the opportunity to practise the very wellness principles being discussed.

From Burnout to Better Living

Opening the experience, Dr. Tewa Onasanya, Founder of Exquisite Magazine, ELOY Awards Foundation and Mindset Stylist, shared her personal journey with burnout and the intentional lifestyle changes that have helped her prioritise her wellbeing while continuing to build and lead.

Her message was clear:

“Your next level requires a well-rested you.”

Speaking from lived experience, Dr. Tewa Onasanya shared how she has incorporated swimming, healthy eating, mindfulness, journaling, visualisation, affirmations and intentional integration of work and personal life into her lifestyle.

Through her signature VASE framework—Visualisation, Affirmation, Scripting, Embodiment and Excited Energy, she encouraged participants to become intentional about not only the life they want to create, but how they want to feel while living it.

An Experience, Not Just an Event

The day’s programme featured a series of engaging experiences designed to help participants slow down and reconnect with themselves.

Highlights included:

An inspiring keynote address on the cost of success and leading without losing yourself by Mrs Pamela Shodipo, Executive Director, Fidelity Bank and The Art of Dining Well, Why Eating out is is a form of Self-care by Dr. Morenike George-Taylor, MD/CEO Vianda.

The powerful panel conversation, “Burnout Is Not a Badge of Honour, featuring candid conversations with Dr. Kemi Dosunmu, CEO Preval Healthcare Consulting and Certified Mental and Wellness Expert, Chetachi Okechukwu, Regional Coordinator Fidelity Bank and Amb. Dr. Amaka Okeke, Executive Director Optiva Capital, around real-life experiences of burnout, what changed and practical shifts that helped.

Guided affirmation meditation – Breathing and mindfulness exercises by Priyanka Bagaria of Happiness Center. A mindful eating experience, encouraging participants to slow down, savour their food and become present in the moment.

Massage and relaxation experiences. Wellness and lifestyle activities. Interactive experiences focused on joy, self-care and intentional living. Networking and opportunities to connect in a relaxed environment.

The result was an atmosphere that combined learning, laughter, reflection, relaxation and connection.

Redefining What Success Feels Like

A central message throughout the experience was that ambition and wellbeing do not have to be opposites.

Participants were encouraged to question the culture of glorifying exhaustion and to recognise that rest is not laziness, weakness or something to be earned after everything else is done.

Instead, rest was presented as an essential life skill, one that enables people to show up with greater clarity, energy, creativity and intention.

The experience reinforced three simple words:

RESET. RECHARGE. REDEFINE.

Reset the mind and release overwhelm.
Recharge the body, energy and spirit.
Redefine what success and living well mean.

Life Should Feel as Good as It Looks

The Wellness & Style Live Experience is an extension of Exquisite Magazine’s longstanding philosophy that “life should feel as good as it looks.”

For Dr. Tewa Onasanya, the success of the 2026 experience represents a growing need for a different conversation around achievement.

“We don’t need to stop being ambitious. We need to stop believing that exhaustion is the price of ambition. I want women to know that they can build extraordinary lives and still be healthy, peaceful, present and joyful enough to enjoy them.”

The overwhelming response from participants demonstrated that the conversation around rest, wellness and sustainable success is more important than ever.

The 6th Wellness & Style Live Experience has therefore established itself not simply as a wellness event, but as a movement towards more intentional, healthier and more enjoyable ways of living.
