You’re known for helping women move from adversity to audacity. What was a defining moment in your own journey where you had to shift your mindset before you saw real results?

One defining moment for me was realising that I could no longer allow fear, self-doubt, or external validation determine the size of my vision. There was a season where I knew I had the capacity for more, but mentally, I was still playing small.

The shift happened when I stopped waiting to “feel ready” and decided to lead with courage instead of comfort. I understood that growth requires audacity, the willingness to move even when the path is uncertain.

That shift in mindset changed everything for me. It helped me embrace visibility, own my voice confidently, and step into rooms I once thought were beyond my reach. Real transformation started the moment I stopped shrinking and started believing that my purpose deserved space.

As a global coach and consultant, what personal leadership lesson took you the longest to learn?

One of the biggest lessons I had to learn was that leadership isn’t about carrying everything alone. For a long time, I believed strength meant always being available, always pushing, always solving problems for everyone.

But true leadership also requires boundaries, emotional intelligence, delegation, and self-awareness. I learned that you can’t pour effectively from an empty place. Sustainable leadership is built on balance, clarity, and the ability to empower others instead of overburdening yourself. That lesson transformed the way I lead both personally and professionally.

You’ve worked with organisations like Access Bank, GTBank, and the Nigerian Bar Association. What mindset patterns have you noticed that separate high performers from everyone else?

High performers think differently before they act differently. One major pattern I have noticed is that they take responsibility for their growth. They are intentional about learning, adapting, and improving continuously.

They also understand the power of discipline and consistency. Many people rely on motivation, but high performers rely on structure, habits, and vision. They are solution-oriented, resilient under pressure, and willing to evolve.

Another important factor is self-belief. High performers don’t wait for permission to own their value. They position themselves confidently and are willing to take strategic risks even when outcomes are uncertain.

As someone who has impacted over 20,000 individuals globally, what is the most common limiting belief you see women struggle with?

One of the most common limiting beliefs I see is the belief of “I am not enough.” Not smart enough, not qualified enough, not confident enough, not deserving enough.

Many women downplay their brilliance because of fear, rejection, past experiences, or societal conditioning. Some have spent years pouring into others while neglecting their own growth and identity.

What I constantly remind women is that confidence isn’t something you wait to feel before taking action. Confidence is built through action, growth, and self-awareness. The moment women begin to truly recognise their value, everything about the way they show up changes.

You sit at global tables, including your role connected to the United Nations. How has that level of exposure shaped the way you think about growth, influence, and opportunity?

Global exposure has expanded my thinking tremendously. It has shown me that growth happens when you are willing to think beyond limitations, beyond geography, and beyond familiarity.

Sitting at global tables has also reinforced the importance of influence with impact. True influence isn’t about status alone, it’s about creating meaningful change, empowering people, and contributing to conversations that shape lives and communities.

It also taught me that opportunities often exist beyond the boundaries people place on themselves. The world is bigger than many people imagine, and once your mindset expands, your possibilities expand with it.

Many people focus on increasing their income first. From your experience as a mindset coach, why do you believe mindset must come before money?

Because money amplifies mindset. If someone has a limited mindset, fear-based thinking, or poor self-worth, more money alone won’t create lasting transformation.

Your mindset influences how you earn, manage, sustain, and multiply opportunities. Many people want financial growth without personal growth, but sustainable success requires both.

Before income increases externally, value must increase internally. The way you think affects your confidence, decision-making, discipline, leadership, and ability to recognise opportunities. Mindset is the foundation that determines whether success can truly be sustained.

You’ve been recognised internationally and won awards like Leader of the Decade. How do you stay grounded and continue evolving mentally despite your achievements?

I stay grounded by remembering that purpose is bigger than recognition. Awards are beautiful, but impact is the real assignment. I also remain committed to growth. I believe evolution is a lifelong process. No matter how much one achieves, there is always another level of learning, refinement, and self-awareness.

Faith, gratitude, family, and service also help me stay centred. I never want success to disconnect me from humanity, empathy, or authenticity. The goal isn’t just to achieve more, but to become better continuously.

For women trying to increase their income and influence, what internal work do they need to do first before expecting external results?

They must first work on their self-worth, mindset, and identity. Many women sabotage opportunities because internally they still feel undeserving of success, visibility, or abundance.

Internal work involves healing from limiting beliefs, overcoming fear of judgement, developing confidence, building emotional resilience, and becoming intentional about growth.

Women must also learn to own their expertise unapologetically. Sometimes the difference between stagnation and elevation is the willingness to stop hiding and start positioning yourself boldly. External success often begins with internal alignment.

If there’s a person feeling stuck financially or professionally right now, what is one mindset shift they can make immediately that could begin to change their trajectory?

They need to stop seeing themselves as victims of their circumstances and start seeing themselves as participants in their transformation. While we may not always control every situation, we can control our response, our willingness to learn, and our decision to grow.

One powerful shift is moving from “Why is this happening to me?” to “What can this season teach me?”

That shift alone can unlock creativity, resilience, adaptability, and new opportunities. Sometimes the greatest breakthroughs begin with a new perspective.

If you had to summarise your wellness philosophy for women in one principle, what would it be?

My wellness philosophy is simple: You can’t pour sustainably from a depleted version of yourself.

Women must learn that wellness isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. Mental wellness, emotional wellness, physical wellness, spiritual wellness, and financial wellness all matter.

I believe women deserve to thrive, not just survive. A woman who is healthy internally is more empowered to lead, nurture, create impact, and live audaciously in every area of her life.
