In the wake of controversies surrounding the End SARS campaign, musician, Runtown has assured his fans that his protest will go on as planned on October 8, 2020.

It’s been a scary ride the past few weeks with the signing of the Police Bill into law, and a huge increase in the amount of police and FSARS harassment of innocent citizens. This has led many prominent individuals to speak up about the situation on social media.

Initially bent on taking the #EndSARS initiative to the next level, musicians Naira Marley and Runtown planned peaceful protests to be held on the 6th of October and 8th of October respectively.

Naira Marley, whose protest was supposed to take place today has come out to announce that the protest has been cancelled, because the Police reached out to him for an Instagram Live, and promised effective changes.

Many people showed their displeasure with this move, some even taking it betrayal and cowardice.

Some Nigerians also expressed fear of Runtown towing the lines of Naira Marley.

However, Runtown has shown he is ready for business by reiterating that the date remains Thursday in his latest tweet:
