Nigerian model Mayowa Nicholas stuns at the just concluded Oscar de la Renta pre-fall 2023 collection.
Co-creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia wowed the crowd by exploring the essence of summer through bold hues, floral emblems and intricate detail similarly found in the wildlife that flourishes during these warmer months.
Showcasing gorgeous 40 plus designs but what struck us was our fierce model Mayowa Nicholas, who has become one of our favourite Oscar de la Renta model.
This Nigerian model was the perfect muse for the ODLR’s Pre-Fall 2023 collection, where she modeled new season’s pieces alongside Birgit Kos and Aleyna Fitzgerald.
The brand’s latest offering features deep burgundy dahlias and ombré jewel tones, evening gowns, such as a bright orange floral and leaf-embroidered off-the-shoulder gown and gold sequin rosette embroidered column gown and cape.

Mayowa Nicholas was a finalist of the 2014 Elite Model Look contest (along with Italian model Greta Varlese). In her first runway season, 2015, she appeared in shows for Balmain, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Kenzo, Hermès, and Acne Studios among others. More recently, she has worked with high-profile designers like Prada, Miu Miu, Versace, Chanel, Michael Kors, and Oscar de la Renta.
She officially made her debut in the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and currently ranked as one of Models.com’s Top 50 models.
