If you’ve been active on social media in recent times, you’ll have come across Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner trending for reasons other than being billionaires.
The main reason is a series of tweets that Kanye made, following his presidential campaign rally in North Charleston, South Carolina, where he burst into tears saying that he almost killed his daughter, North, by suggesting to Kim to have an abortion.
Kanye said a lot in his tweets, taking jabs at his wife, Kim Kardashian, mother-in-law, Kris Jenner and sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner on a range of different issues.
The Kanye West tweets have since been deleted, but here are some of the things he said:
“If I get locked up like Mandela Y’all will know why”
Kanye West tweets even hinted that Kim may have cheated on him with fellow rapper, Meek Mill and that he wanted a divorce from her.
Yesterday, Kim took to her Instagram page to address the issue, especially about Kanye’s bipolar disorder.
Just like in previous matters, she played the role of the loving and supportive wife and asked the society to show them compassion and empathy at this tough time.
Kim Kardashian said that she knows “Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and his actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions”, but appealed that he is someone who faces “the pressures of being an artist and a black man who experienced the painful loss of his mother and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder”.
The truth is that mental health is that it is not as defined as physical health and there are many facets to it, so awareness is key right now.
Bipolar disorder, formerly called manic depression, is a mental disorder that causes extreme mood shifts ranging from mania to depression.
Many people had earlier blamed Kim Kardashian for the predicament Kanye was in, claiming she was a bad wife.
Now, many fans have taken to twitter to appreciate Kim for the post and the calm way she handled the matter.
