Tell us about yourself
My name is Mrs Orevaoghene Elisha, founder of Revon Foods Limited, a baby food processing and packaging company located in Lagos, Nigeria. I have a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and currently studying for a Master’s degree in Nutrition. I am a change agent with so much passion to bring about positive change in my immediate environment.
What does your business do and how it started
Revon Foods Limited is a registered company that researches, formulates, produces and distributes food products of optimal nutrition from the local farm ingredients such as whole grains, legumes, fruits, nuts and vegetables.
Revon Foods’ idea was conceived in February 2018, as a part-time business at a time I stopped my telecommunications business and was home nursing my baby. I visited a shop in my estate and the shop owner was complaining of a delay in the delivery of pap from a vendor in a neighbouring community. I saw a need to start processing and supplying pap.
I researched how to produce pap, bought a paint rubber at #600 and sold it to shops in my estate. Later, I had several variants, branded as Eva Yummy pap. Our major customers were mothers with babies and was inspired to produce other types of dried food products. Today we don’t sell only pap. We have several healthy natural food products. We started in my kitchen, now we are using our own cottage factory and hoping to get a standard factory within the next one year.
How do you solve your customers challenge?
Our customers have several needs.

We provide food products of optimal nutrition to meet the above needs.

2. Food that contains lots of. fibre and fewer calories to help weight loss.
3. Lactose-free milk alternative
4. Our Cereals can be used to prepare several recipes which makes feeding fun and also gives necessary nutrients.
5. Healthy Sugar alternative for babies.
Who are your ideal customers?
Our Ideal customers are young mothers between the ages of 25-40 years. Middle-class citizens in rural-urban communities.
Can you describe your typical day?
My typical day is really busy also overseeing everything at the moment from my First family to Business, Back to family then Personal life
How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?
I try to balance both family and business though at times family suffers when we have demands to meet. No much time for outings and attending to family issues.
What motivates you?
Seeing customer reviews and returns to purchase motivates me to continue

My greatest fear is not being able to meet you with demands of our customers

Researching and developing our own products.

My greatest inspiration has been God almighty.
What advice would you give to people who want to become entrepreneurs?
Entrepreneurship is beautiful but you need focus and courage to succeed. You must tell yourself that no matter what may come your way, you will not give up. A little at a time and you will get there. Don’t be in a hurry to make it. Follow your pace be consistent and be determined you will be on your way to greatness.
