HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THIS FIELD?

All together now, over 15 years

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO GO INTO THIS FIELD?

Unmmmmh, well I had a major life change a few years ago. I went through 16 years of domestic violence and abuse, I lost my self-esteem, I was suicidal, and I once took an overdose to end it all. I was living every day in fear. I felt worthless and was just existing rather than living.

When I exited the relationship, I realized that my soul was wounded sorely, I couldn’t function normally, I was clinically depressed, I had panic attacks, and was overly anxious, I kept hearing voices of the abuse in my head, so I had to seek soul healing through therapy, counseling, and coaching.

I later realized that all I went through was to prepare me to help many who are going through or have gone through abuse to heal and reinvent themselves for an excellent life after trauma through one on one therapy and coaching sessions, group therapy sessions, group training, masterclasses, boot camps, and public speaking.

TIPS ON HOW YOU STARTED?

I started reading about Trauma and how it affected the functioning of the brain for my healing, and then I realized I loved everything about the soul and its health. I then went ahead to get certifications in various related fields.

YOU ARE A FORCE TO RECKON WITH IN THE SOCIETY, HOW DID YOU GROW TO THIS LEVEL?

Firstly, God, the grace of God has helped me. The grace of God preserved my life and lifted my head up high.

I love the fact that you said, ‘how did you grow to this level?  Lol..because it is all about growth. When you stop growing you start dying. Many people are walking dead because they have stopped developing and growing.

So for me, I had to do a lot of internal work first of all, many people want to do a big thing without taking time to work on themselves. I had to HEAL and rise above my past.

Many are stuck and unable to progress because they keep holding on to their painful past. The past is not your identity; your past doesn’t define you. I rediscovered myself; I went through the journey of healing and self-rediscovery. I rose from low self-esteem to a healthy self-esteem.

I focused on my being rather than just ‘doing’ because results emanate from your being. If you are a mango tree, you will automatically produce mango fruits, instead of trying so hard to produce mango fruits, just focus on becoming a mango tree. Who we are is more important than what we do.

I focus a lot on self-awareness and self-mastery and this is a journey that I am still on. Also, I surrounded myself with the right people, nobody was created to thrive in isolation, and we need the right people in our lives.

When I started the new phase of my life, I had to evaluate the relationships in my life; I had to set healthy boundaries and prioritized the relationships that mattered to my destiny.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?

Uhhhmm, success is relative, for me, success is simply fulfilling my mandate and purpose. We were created on purpose for a purpose, nobody is an accident, and there is a REASON why each and every one of us is here on planet earth, unfortunately sometimes, we go through difficult life experiences that divert our attention from fulfilling our original purpose.

Many are walking another’s path in life and deep down they are frustrated and unhappy. Finding your purpose and aligning with it brings happiness, fulfillment, and satisfaction and that is my own definition of success.

IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO START YOUR CAREER OVER AGAIN, WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?

Ahah, I think I would just have started earlier than I did if I could, but then I understand that everything that happens to us happens for a reason.

EVERY BUSINESS-MINDED SUCCESSFUL PERSON HAS A STORY, WHAT CHALLENGES DID YOU FACE?

I was not accepted at the early stages of my career, people that knew me before found it difficult to understand what I was doing.

There was also a time when self-doubt made me shrink, I allowed other people’s opinions to control me, but I quickly realize that I am not sent to everybody and everybody will not understand my purpose, so I chose to focus on my focus.

WHAT SETS YOU APART?

As a life and trauma recovery coach, I believe I am different and unique because I did not just train and get certifications, I have also walked the path, I understand what it means to experience trauma, I understand the pain of abuse and so when my clients sit in front of my I get them 100% and they feel safe with me because I feel their pain.

YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO MANY, WHO/WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

My purpose and mandate inspires me to keep keeping on.  I’m so grateful for my biological parents as well, they do inspire me a lot, and they stood by me and made sure I did not die in an abusive marriage. I have some mentors; they daily inspire me to keep keeping on.

My clients inspire me as well, when I work with a client over a period of time and they heal and transform, it gives my heart great joy and makes me want to keep doing more.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

I am passionate about the health and healing of the soul. My motivation is to see people who are struggling with living a wholesome life because of childhood trauma or intimate partner violence or any other kind of trauma heal because the health of the soul is the foundation of the health of every other area of your life.

Many people are carrying hurts and wounds in their hearts and this is affecting their productivity in life and relationships as well, I have heard so many stories, so I am committed to keep helping people heal and reinvent themselves because so many people’s talents and purpose are being undermined because of soul wound.
