The Lagos maiden edition of “Dedicated to Digital” took place on the 12th of November 2017 at Workstation in Victoria Island, Lagos state. This master class was focused on how SME’s and entrepreneurs can reach their full potential using their already existing digital platforms. This class was designed to educate young graduates, owners of small and medium businesses, aspiring digital entrepreneurs and media managers within corporate bodies.
Renowned and well learned speakers shared their knowledge on how they have succeeded in various sectors using Social media and a vast number of digital tools. It was a great opportunity for attendees to learn, discuss and also get clarity in areas they were unsure about. The audience were left energized with a new zeal to take their digital game to the next level.
Bolanle Olukanni, a well known TV Host introduced the event and spoke about the power twitter holds in our world today. Akintunde Marihno the CEO Utopia media broke down how money can be made from online content. Jite Ovueraye the Marketing and Operations Manager of accelerate TV explained how every brand must tell and authentic story. Sonia Irabor the Editor of Genevieve Magazine, spoke on embracing digital and how to start conversations.
A short break enabled attendees to mingle, network and de-brief on what had been discovered so far. Drinks and snacks where kindly provided by Rite Foods
Dayo Ajayi Digital Marketing expert gave a thorough speech on the fundamentals of digital marketing, Afua Osei the Co-Founder of She Leads Africa shared her advice on how to build a digital team. Adetola Anita Adetoye the founder of Anita Brows discusses the importance of staying consistent and motivated in business. The Masterclass was closed with an in-depth discussion on building a youtube channel and content strategy by Sisi Yemmie.
The Masterclass is an amazing start to many more Dedicated to Digital sessions that would be taking place across the continent and beyond in the year to come.
