From 10 packs of bottled water, 5 packs of beverages and a fridge, Idera Stores has grown into a well-established business providing all kinds of beverages and cooling services. Exquisite magazine is pleased to have an interview with her. Let’s read her story.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Otun Mistura Odunayo an entrepreneur, I am 33 years old, I’m a mother of four kids, three girls and one boy and the CEO of Idera Stores.
What does your business do and how it started?
We are dealers in all kinds of beverages, bottled water and cooling services. We started it at a stage in our life, we needed money to care for our daily needs, and we started with 10 packs of bottled water and 5 packs of beverages with 1 fridge in the Year 2017.
How do you solve your customer challenge?
Making available different products at affordable prices on their doorsteps.

Can you describe your typical day as a mother?
As a mother of 4 kids, I wake up by 6 am daily after our morning prayer, I prepare the kids for school. Thereafter prepare for the office.
I resume office by 9 am after my prayer in the office, I request for stock records to check. I make payments for products that we don’t have for stocking, and after then I use one (1) hour to read business motivation book and make research on trending things in our industry.
I close by 6 pm to prepare dinner and by 10 pm, I always watch Channels Business News.
How has being an Entrepreneur affected your family life?
Yes, being an entrepreneur has affected my family life positively because it gives me time to care for my family as I am not the only one doing everything in our business. We have the Loaders, Sales Representatives etc.
What motivates you?
Personal goals and aspirations also make an impact and contributions to people’s life.
What is your greatest fear?
Fear of the unknown, fear of not going out of business spaces.
How do you define success?
Success is the achievement of a desired goal or objective

Innovation and Resilience
If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
I would like to be a Banker in other for me to know how to manage my finances very well.
