Olori Ronke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi and Olori Janet Afolabi launch the Oloris Conference.
Today, we are celebrating Women’s history month with the first edition of the conference of Oloris and this year’s theme is the impact of Oloris in National development.
It’s no news that Women are the pillars of the society. We are the engines of growth and economic development with enormous responsibilities to God, Man and society at large.
Women provide the Labour force for production of goods and services.
Women have natural gifts from God to do so many things at the same time.
Women play the roles of wives, mothers, caretaker, educators, to mention a few, there’s no role that a woman cannot play.
According to the UN, watch Organization, Women play a key role in supporting their households, and communities in achieving so many things like food security, generating income, improving livelihood and overall well-being.
It’s worthy of note that women in the past have established kingdoms and ruled as Kings. Women like Ooni Luwoo of ile ife Kingdom, Alaafin Orompoto and Osemawe pupupu the founder of Ondo Kingdom.
And we all have various projects that we are doing in our various Kingdoms and today for the first time in history, we are all coming together to see how we can all work together and collaborate on the different things that we do.
As the global ambassador of the Queen Moremi initiative established in 2016 under the chairmanship of His Imperial Majesty The Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II I have set up so many projects under the QMA initiative.
Like the QMA education fund that supports the education of primary and secondary school girls.
The Qma say no to trafficking and morden day slavery where we work with returnees of trafficking and help them with reintegration back into the society.
Our cultural and leadership pageant where we mentor young women into becoming leaders of tomorrow
Not forgetting our Adire learning vocational training which is free and we have directly and indirectly trained over 500 women and youth.
Today we are launching our Moremi Association with the intention of becoming a Moremi Micro finance bank for women that will enable the process of easy borrowing for women, as women are know to always payback when they borrow.
Your Excellency, thank you for gracing this occasion and we appreciate you and hold you in high esteem .
To all our Oloris present here today, thank you very much for attending and regards to all my Royal Fathers.
