Day 1 of Nigerian Student Fashion & Design Week 2017 started off with a bang. Ten designers took the runway to show their collections and it was truly an evening of fashion; the models brought their impressive pieces to life.
The designers that showcased on day 1 – Apparels by Pearl, Marie Suave, Thread by Nessa, Nelson Couture, Pinkies Stitches, Adara Atelier, Carl Andrews, Needle Thread Stitches, Styleshe Couture and Mega House of fashion.
Day 2 featured over 13 designers on the runway, they include YRC Nigeria (Creative Designer NSFDW Maiden Edition), Ovem (Most creative designer NSFDW 2014), Ashillarozae (Most creative designer NSFDW 2016), Tinyfitting, Valisimo Fashion School, Hym Signage, M’Briel Fashion, Aumoh, Nanaclassique, Kolzy Couture, Makaris Wear, Idiol Nupo, Stephanie Daniels for StyleSquad, Daltimore, 9ja Urban Clothing and Happily Fab Clothing.
As usual a panel of celebrity judges with vast fashion experience selected the winners after watching the collections displayed on the runway for two days, the judges were Ono Bello, Ayo Van Elmar, Blessing Ebere (360 creative hub), Kola Kuddus and Tosin Ogundadegbe (Style Infidel)
At the end of the night, prizes were given to the Best Male Designer (Hym Signage), Best Female Designer (Adara Atelier) and Most Promising Designer (Apparels by Pearl), by the grand patron of NSFDW, Mr Ifeanyi Oputa MD Studio 24, Mr Olaolu from Jumia, Mr Paul MD Zinsu Technology, Mrs Blessing Ebere Founder 360 Creative Hub, Mrs Wunmi Olwudare Founder of Wumi O, Ono Bello and by a representative from the OSC College of fashion.
This years partners include Studio 24 & Style Squad (Official Photography Partners),Jumia fashion, Zinsu Technology, Zaron Cosmetics, My Hair Ltd, 360 Creative Hub Mahogany International, Africa Fashion Week London and Zmirage.
