YOU HAVE BEEN IN YOUR FIELD FOR HOW LONG?
I have been in the media and public relations industry for the last 10 years.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO GO INTO THIS FIELD
I always wanted to own a media house with a public relations agency and a radio and TV station from the time I was a teenager. I always had a keen interest in business. So I decided to be an entrepreneur and just follow my dreams.
TIPS ON HOW YOU STARTED?
When I started I did not have any money at all. I just had an idea when I was 19 years old, and I knew from that idea I would be successful. So I knocked very many doors as I looked for investors. Many people said no but I did not give up until I got someone who believed in my idea. That’s when I started my first company when I was 19 years old.
YOU ARE A FORCE TO RECKON WITH IN THE SOCIETY, HOW DID YOU GROW TO THIS LEVEL?
I never gave up and I took a lot of risks. Also when it comes to clients I always deliver, so I get a lot of referrals especially in the public relations and branding business.
EVERY BUSINESS MINDED SUCCESSFUL PERSON HAS A STORY, WHAT CHALLENGES DID YOU FACE?
The more you succeed the more competitors notice and react to what you are doing. Therefore you always have to keep up with the market. Also Cash is King, when there is no money then it can be hard to do things or there can be delays here and there in the establishment of things
WHAT SETS YOU APART?
I am VERY aggressive and I deliver more that is expected to my clients. My success comes from the ability to take risks, being patient, and above all putting God first.
YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO MANY, WHO/WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
What inspires me is the emails I get from young people telling me that I have inspired them in one way or the other. That keeps me going. Anyone can actually get me on beatricemndungu@gmail.com
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?
What keeps me going is the fact that, there are many people looking up to me, and seeing me as their role model. I want people to say someday that it’s because of Beatrice that I did not give up.
PLEASE KINDLY SHARE SOME OF YOUR SECRETS TO BECOMING SUCCESSFUL WITH EM?
Do not be afraid to take risks, be patient, live well with people and never put anyone down whether they are below or above your level, and most of all pray.
WHAT ADVICE WILL YOU GIVE TO MODERN DAY LADIES AND YOUTHS WITH THE ZEAL TO GROW?
Ladies are often scared about chasing their dreams. This is because for a long time men have been handling the big jobs and starting companies. But the fact is 9.1 million businesses in the US are owned by women. You playing small do not serve the world, there is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you, we are all meant to shine just as children do; it’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let out our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people a chance to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Shine bright like a diamond and be the best you can be!
