EM- PLEASE TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
About Myself… Hmmmn. I am a child of God. I am a lover of fashion, books, food and everything social media.
I think that sums it all up.
EM- HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THIS FIELD?
I have been in this field for 8 years but I have only had my business for about 2 years. I’d say 2 years because I really didn’t view it as a business for the 1st year.
It was just a hobby.
EM- WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO GO INTO THIS FIELD?
I decided to go into this field because I realized I won’t do anything else.
I loved being on social media and sharing my knowledge and when I discovered that I couldn’t get a job I decided to follow my passion.
EM- TIPS ON HOW YOU STARTED?
I would assume you are asking me how to get started as a social media manager.
1. You need to have a good understanding of the various social media platforms that exist.
2. You need to have a solid understanding of marketing concepts and to have this you either need a marketing degree or gain this knowledge by taking online courses or earning a certification.
3. Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
4. You also need to be creative as it allows you to come up with new, interesting and engaging ideas.
5. Attention to detail and organization skills are very crucial as you will often have to manage multiple social media accounts.

EM- YOU ARE A FORCE TO RECKON WITH IN THE SOCIETY, HOW DID YOU GROW TO THIS LEVEL?
A force to reckon with… hmm If you had said this last year I would have said yes but right now I’m not so sure about some things but I’m working towards becoming that force to reckon with.
How did I grow to this level, I would say it’s the grace of God and hard work.
EM: HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?
Success to me is achieving those goals I set out for myself. If you set a goal for yourself and achieve it, you are successful.
EM: IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO START YOUR CAREER OVER AGAIN, WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?
If I had the chance to start over again, I would make sure myself and my co-founder put in the work together and not let her leave me to do it all alone. I would make sure we gave equally and grew together because it gets overwhelming sometimes.
EM- EVERY BUSINESS-MINDED SUCCESSFUL PERSON HAS A STORY, WHAT CHALLENGES DID YOU FACE?
My challenges haven’t finished but one I can say I’m dealing with over time is structure. As you grow you need to know when to collapse and rebuild a structure. It’s becoming increasingly difficult restructuring at the level of growth I am right now because I don’t have a manual for this.
A lot of us also face challenges like start-up capital, manpower, getting clients, and keeping the clients we currently have… the challenges are new every day.
EM- WHAT SETS YOU APART?
One thing I would say that sets me apart is the grace upon my life. It’s not just hard work because they are a lot of people that are more hardworking than I am. It’s really just the Grace of God.
EM- YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO MANY, WHO/WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

What inspired me is the fact that I know there is more where it came from. As to who inspires me, many of the women who have and are still excelling in their fields inspire me.
EM- WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?
My motivation would be that I don’t want to be broke and I don’t want to die without making an impact in life.
EM- IF YOU WERE TO WRITE A BOOK ABOUT YOURSELF WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?
The title would be TheSocialMediaOga: The Honest Truth

There is no secret to becoming successful.
I would say work hard, trust in your craft, stay consistent and trust God.
EM- WHAT ADVICE WILL YOU GIVE TO YOUTHS WITH THE ZEAL TO GROW?
Keep going. It might not look like it right now but your dreams are valid
