Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just stepped out for their first Royal Variety Performance together at the London Palladium theater—and on the night of their 6-month wedding anniversary, to boot.
The entertainment show, which first started in 1912, is held in part to help raise money for the Royal Variety Charity—and as such, has royal guests of honor in attendance. It’s also a ritzy event—one that Harry dressed black-tie for while Meghan Markle chose a stunning black and white Safiyaa top and skirt to wear:
Last year, Kate Middleton and Prince William attended, and the Duchess of Cambridge was photographed talking to One Direction member Louis Tomlinson. Kate chose a blue embellished Jenny Packham dress to wear to the show then:
The evening event comes after Meghan and Harry attended two formal events last week as well. Meghan Markle was photographed in giant jeweled earrings en route to Prince Charles’s 70th birthday party on Tuesday that Queen hosted in Buckingham Palace. While no full-length photos of Meghan or her dress were taken as it was a private event, some of Europe’s other royal families were in attendance. It was a very dressy occasion.
Meghan also attended an evening dinner Thursday for the Royal Foundation with Harry, Kate, and William. Kate rewore a red Preen gown to the dinner that she originally wore during her royal tour of Canada in 2016. Meghan, meanwhile, debuted a new black Roland Mouret gown.
I had the absolute honour of performing for and meeting The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge & The Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the annual @kensingtonroyal #RoyalFoundation dinner.
