LIFT

Kevin Hart leads a diverse cast in the action heist comedy film Lift which is directed by F. Gary Gray, a name associated with popular heist films. And this time, the filmmaker sets the story in midair. Lift follows a heist crew who plan to steal $100 million worth of gold on a passenger flight, while airborne.

SALAAR

Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, the film follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), a tribesman, and Varadha (Prithviraj), the prince of Khansaar. When a coup d’état is planned by his father’s ministers and his relatives, Varadha enlists Deva’s help to become Khansaar’s undisputed ruler.

BADLAND HUNTERS

Korean action star Don Lee, best known for his work in Train to Busan and The Eternals, stars in Badland Hunters, a dystopian film set in Seoul, after it becomes a lawless wasteland. Lee plays Nam San, a huntsman tasked with rescuing a teenager who is being kidnapped by a dangerous doctor. When he learns that she is being held captive by a cult, Nam will stop at nothing to rescue her before the doctor begins performing dangerous experiments on her. The new release boasts an impressive 88 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, where many reviewers are praising the fight choreography and action.

THE GREATEST NIGHT IN POP

The Greatest Night In Pop is a spectacular documentary chronicling a single night in music history when some of the greatest musicians of our time united at a studio to record “We Are The World,” a song written by Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson, to benefit African famine relief. The doc features raw footage from that evening and first-hand accounts from some of the greats who were there, including Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen, Lionel Richie, Dionne Warwick, and more. At a neat 96 minutes, this new release is sure to be an interesting look at some of the biggest stars in history.

ADIRE

A retired prostitute on the run moves to a small town and starts a lingerie business (made from her signature adire material) which inevitably empowers the conservative women. But this only angers the self-instilled leader, Folashade, the deaconess and wife to the preacher of the town’s local church.
