By now, we’re sure you know whatever we recommend is great and mostly good for you; which is why we pride ourselves in giving you more.
On our weekend watchlist for this week, we decided to highlight 4 tv Nigerian web series that have been making waves in the industry and steered interesting conversations with their audience.
These tv shows are all very different but spare nothing when it comes to creativity and storytelling, which is exactly how they made the list.
Nigerian Series To Binge-Watch
1. Skinny Girl In Transit
This show literally blew me away when I watched the first episode. Storylines align, casting is perfect as they portray the characters with top-notch production!
Skinny Girl In Transit is a comedy web series by NdaniTV and was introduced to us in 2015. The first episode was released in July 2015 on NadaniTV’s YouTube page.
The web series follows the life of a plus-sized young lady called Tiwalade as she balances self-love while dealing with the pressures of wanting to be in a relationship, her family, and her career.
The show was created by Temi Balogun and has Guarantee Trust Bank as executive producers.
Starring Abimbola Craig as Tiwalade, Ayoola Ayolola as Mide, Sharon Ooja as Shalewa, Ngozi Nwosu as Mama Tiwa, and Timini Egbuson as Mohammed; this show for sure is packed with talent and beauty. Season six came to a wrap two months ago.

2. Phases
Yet another NdaniTV production and we love to see. We particularly love the casting of the Nigerian web series because it screams MELANIN! Every single person in this show is beautiful and the Casting Directors knew exactly what they were about.
Aside from how beautiful their skin and complexion are, the uniqueness of this show is the difference it has taken as the story tells us about the life of a 30+ man who is a virgin and then keeps finding himself in love triangles.
The show cast includes Tosin Ibitoye as Sunkanmi, Tomike Alayande as Tunde, Tobi Bakre as Jeje, Adebukola Oladipupo as Ini, Asa’ah Samuel as Gbugbemi, Elma Mbadiwe as Naomi.
Also Shalewa Ashafa as ‘Wande’, and Joshua Richard as ‘Preye’ who joined the cast in their second season.

3. Life As It Is
I watched the first season of this show last year and I relate so much to it because the story follows the life of a young graduate girl who is trying to figure out her life outside the comfort of her home through a job search, accommodation, friendship, and more.
Life As It Is was created by Uche Udoh and stars Shalewa Ashafa, Linda Osifo, Chike Osebuka, Shawn Faqua, Lateef Adedimeji, Adebukola Oladipupo, Bassey Ekpenyong, and others.
Let’s get you started, shall we?
4. The Men’s Club
If you are a fan of this show, I’m sure you were wondering when I would put this on and if you do not know or haven’t heard about The Men’s Club…you’re welcome. This has to be the most successful web series produced by RedTV so far and this is why.
This Nigerian web series showcases the lifestyle of 4 eligible young men by highlighting their love affairs, friendships, and betrayal. The cast includes Sharon Ooja, Ayoola Ayolola, Grace Ajilore, Baaj Adebule, Efa Iwara, and others.
They are set to release season 3 on the 22nd of July, so this is the time to catch up on previous seasons.
