Inspired by the Nebuta House Museum in Japan, the Washington Roberts’ Spring/Summer 2015 collection imitates the building which is made out of 820 twisted steel strips. These strips inspired the idea of pleating the fabric as contouring to enhance the female form. In his younger years, Washington had the notion to become an architect, and for this project, he combined his love for architecture with his passion for fashion to birth this structured collection.
Fabrics used range from silk wool and satin face silk to organza and Italian woven lurex and organza stripe.
