“We can’t wait to extend and expand our relationship with the incredibly talented Yara Shahidi.” She first worked with ABC as a star of the sitcom Black-ish, created by Kenya Barris. Shahidi earned critical acclaim for her performance as Zoey Johnson in the show, which has been nominated for Emmy Awards and Golden Globes. Tracee Ellis Ross won a Golden Globe in 2017 for her performance as Shahidi’s on-screen mother in the show.
We’re excited for Yara Shahidi and mum, Keri, and can’t wait to see their upcoming productions.
