Yesterday, we talked about how modelling is putting Nigeria on the map, today is the turn for movie making. Genevieve has made us proud one more time by being appointed the ambassador of the Toronto International Film Festival 2020.
This news comes right after Genevieve was invited to The Academy for the Oscars last month.
Genevieve joins the list of 50 actors and filmmakers invited as the ambassadors of the TIFF.
Other invitees to the Toronto International Film Festival 2020 include Natalie Portman, Priyanka Chopra, Tatiana Maslany, Shamier Anderson, Olivia Wilde and Carey Mulligan.
The festival is set to run through Spetember 10th to 19th. The official statement on TIFF’S website is.
The 45th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, taking place September 10–19, is tailored to fit the moment, with physical screenings and drive-ins, digital screenings, virtual red carpets, press conferences, and industry talks. This year’s selection comprises a lineup of 50 new feature films, five programmes of short films, as well as interactive talks, film cast reunions, and Q&As with cast and filmmakers.
