When asked about her new role, she said “As an actor you pray to get versatile roles. So when Silk came to me, I was beyond thankful. Playing the character ‘Silk’ has been quite an adventure and also one of the most life changing experiences I’ve ever been through. It’s been a learning process, as I get to work with industry experts; both actors and crew members and also budding actors like myself.”
Tobi has always been in the industry. She has stared in several stage productions such as “The Chibok Girls: our story”, which was staged at the Ubumuntu Arts festival in Rwanda andat the Georgetown University in Washington DC, “Moremi”, etc. She has also featured in a number of movies, like, Trinity”; which was shot in Ghana and also got her nominated for ‘best upcoming actress’ at the Zafaa Awards in 2010, “Sheila”, “Lovish”, “Ewa Ife”, “Stay” and TV and web series like, “360 with Aby”, “Living in Lagos”, “Ballerz” to name a few.
She is also a Photographer, Creative Director for events, Voice over artist and YouTuber.
Tobi who holds a B.A in Theatre Studies from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and a Masters degree in Journalism and Mass communication from Sikkim Manipal University, has a solid commitment to entertain and educate through her professional, fun, emotional and adventurous performances.
