Nigerian Alt-R&B singer, Tems (Temilade Openiyi) is ready to step it up a notch, after the commercial success of “Try Me”, with the release of a new song, ‘Damages’, and plans to drop her first EP.
Another step she has taken, is becoming a Media client of renowned PR Agency, ‘BuqiHQ’ to help promote her EP and other works. In an official statement by the agency, they said:
This is to officially introduce thrilling Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer Tems (Temilade Openiyi) as a BukiHQ Media client.
Tems is a “Cool Chick” who began producing her songs at age 20 and in 2018, released her debut single “Mr Rebel” which earned her nominations for ‘Best Alternative Song’ & ‘Best Vocal Performance’ at the 2019 Headies awards. After the success of a single release, in 2019, she released a single titled “Looku Looku” which showed music pundits that there is a rising star to look out for.
In August of 2019, she released a hit single “Try Me” which earned her mainstream recognition and awareness. Tems has collaborated with a number of artistes including Wizkid, Khalid, Show Dem Camp, Lady Donli, Black Magic, Mannywellz, etc. In April 2020, Tems broke new grounds as Khalid featured her alongside Davido on the remix to his single “Know Your Worth”
On the 18th of September, 2020, Tems released the first single “Damages” off her debut EP titled “For Broken Ears”, the video would be released later today, 24th September 2020, at 8 pm. “For Broken Ears” will be released on Friday, 25th of September, 2020 and would be available on all platforms.
