BEYONCÉ has been named the world’s most powerful celebrity by Forbes. The list – which ranks stars from the film, TV, music, sports, publishing and modelling industries – is based on money and fame, and cites the singer’s Mrs Carter tour, Beyoncé album, House of Deréon fashion label and endorsements for brands such as H&M and Pepsi as the reasons for her winning the top spot.
The star is no stranger to featuring on such influential lists. She was recently ranked number 17 on the Forbes list of most powerful women in the world, and last November she and husband Jay Z were named the world’s highest-earning couple for the second year in a row by the publication.
No doubt they stand a high chance of making it a hat trick thanks to their On The Run tour, which kicked off last month.
