The Semsey Skin Solutions brand newly open the Semsey Experience Centre with a 3-day exclusive invite-only closed-door launch with the traditional and digital press personnel, beauty brands influencers, luxury shoppers, content creators and bloggers in the heart of Lagos.
For the three days, each guest had an immersive tour of the Semsey experience centre with the Founder highlighting the importance of creating afro-centric skincare products made from raw materials safely sourced and quality processed within the African continent. She highlighted the vision of the brand to become the preferred natural skincare of the African woman is genuinely solving her common skin issues.
In all, this Semsey Experience Centre is the first of its kind on the African continent and it houses the Skin Kitchen (where you can make personalized products), raw materials and finished products sampling room, natural skincare products made through a “farm-to-skin” approach that delivers fun and exciting products for bath times solving common skin problems.
She elaborated the problems the African woman faces battling with skincare issues and choosing the right skincare products for her skin, Using herself as valid proof, she suffered Post-partum hormonal acne and this sole reason prompted her inquisitiveness into bringing a lasting solution to skin issues for the African woman.
One of the solutions to the numerous problems the African woman faces is creating the Semsey Experience Centre, where people would not only shop for skincare products but also formulate cosmetics products for themselves under the supervision of skin experts, a good space to host skin parties, skin-themed bridal showers and host other recreational skin activities.
One of the guests, Bettyana, a content creator and media personality, pointed out her fears in losing her skin tone because of the influx of so many products in the market and Tunbosun, the head of the Semsey Brand explained that this is one of the reasons the Semsey Experience centre was created; to make people feel safe using natural skincare products and to give expert advice to people who want to try out products.

The highlights of the event were the live-sampling of products available by guests at the Semsey Experience centre from oils, toners, masks to sunscreen, fragrances etc, after which they were made to give their thoughts on the products sampled and most of them could not take eyes off the fruit and vegetable oils. The natural skincare products range from soaps/cleansers, exfoliants, toners, moisturizers like “To-My-Toes” Face and Body Scrub (from tomatoes), the “Man-Go-Nut” Face and Body scrub (from mango), “Mashed-on Face” (from potatoes) mask, “Moisture latte” (from Cocoa) to fruit and veggies oil-like “Banana Oil”, “Pineapple Oil”, “Tomato Oil”, “Mango Oil”, among others to soaps such as “Seedless Watermelon” bar soap (from Watermelon), “Herbal Wave” bar soap, “Coffee Sparkle”, just to mention a few.
Not leaving any stone unturned, the Founder of the Semsey brand also advised people on the need for proper skincare research and skin analysis before opting for skincare products.
She did this while affirming that all products in the Semsey Experience Centre are sourced from African natural raw materials and that the centre is open to everyone who wants to experience and explore skincare products edible and beneficial to the skin.
