Nigerian Sister’s Temi and DJ Cuppy Otedola hosted a spectacular event in partnership with the Dangote Foundation just ahead of Bonhams’ Africa Now: Contemporary Africa sale!
Last week Bonhams in London opened its doors to all the high-flyers of the African contemporary art world, as well as a number of celebrity guests, in an amazing showcase of African art, music and fashion.
Temi – an internationally popular fashion blogger – masterminded a unique fashion presentation where she debuted the works of some of her favourite African designers including Sohie Zinga, Lisa Folawiyo and MAXHOSA by Laduma, meanwhile her sister Cuppy performed a great DJ set (with dancers and all sorts) to a rapturous crowd. The British superstar Tinie Tempah was in attendance, along with Nigerian artist Burna Boy, football stars Ola Aina, Wilfried Zaha and Victor Anichebe, not to mention Mr Dangote himself.
