Mosunmola Abudu, popularly known as Mo Abudu is the founder and CEO, EbonyLife TV. A talkshow hostess, TV producer, Human Resource Management Consultant, Venture Capitalist and a MEDIA ENTREPRENEUR.
She is the first woman to own a television network in Africa. Permit me to say “wawuuuuuu!!!”. After working with some establishment, in 2000, she established her privately owned specialist human resources development company which she called “Vic Lawrence & Associates Limited(VLA)”.
In 2013, Mo Abudu launched Ebony Life Television, “Africa’s first Global Black Multi-Broadcast Entertainment Network”. Still in 2013, she was named by Forbes media as the “FIRST FEMALE AFRICAN WOMAN TO LAUNCH A PAN-AFRICA TV CHANNEL”. She was also named “one of the 25 most powerful women in Global TV”, by Hollywood Reporter.
In 2014, she won the Entrepreneur of the year at the International Women’s Day Forum, Manhattan, New York, United States.
In 2016, she also got the “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Women Week in New York. And now, she has been included in the Hollywood Reporters’ review of the top 25 women in Global tv.
No wonder she is the Exquisite Magazine(EM) Entrepreneur of the week.
