The scourge of Human Trafficking. Imagine being promised a better life abroad, working in a profession you
love and living the life of your dreams. Only for those hopes to be
killed when you find out that you’ve essentially been sold into
slavery.
This is the unfortunate situation that many African Women have gone
through. Via a series of monologues, TheVimbai.Com is raising awareness
about modern-day slavery, by sharing the real-life stories of African
women who have survived human trafficking.
The first episode in the series is narrated by star actress, Michelle
Dede, who gives a heartfelt monologue detailing the harrowing story of
Cameroonian survivor, Awah Francesca.
