In a viral TikTok video posted by user @dejapoo00, Starbucks employees got creative, labeling two tip jars outside their drive-thru window ‘ using Kanye West and Pete Davidson’s tip jars to rack up more cash.
The TikTok video, which was posted on 26 February, has amassed 6.6 million views with the top comments all expressing their support for Davidson.
“Puts entire bank acct on Pete,” Leenah replied. Another wrote “Pete all day, every day.”
With TikTokers commentaries on Starbucks’ new marketing strategy, some called the tip jars “racially motivated,” while others found West’s recent “abusive” behavior to warrant a tip for Davidson. “This has nothing to do with Ye’s music or race. Kanye has been unhinged & making Kim feel threatened. That’s 100% not okay & that’s why Pete’s winning,” Rosie noted.
