We love true-life stories and movies based on the life and journeys of women, especially when acted out nicely because they make us understand the reasons behind the character.
The movie ’93 days’ is inspired by the late Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, and is based on her life and sacrifice for Nigeria and Africa during the Ebola virus break in 2014.
She is known for preventing the Nigerian index case from leaving the hospital at the time of diagnosis, thereby playing a key role in curbing the spread of the virus in Nigeria.
Dr Ameyo Stella Adadevoh died on August 19th, 2014 at age 57 which has since become a memorial day in the country for her. The sixth year of her passing was marked two days ago, and her legacy and deeds are not forgotten.
The movie was written by Paul S. Rowlston and stars Seun Ajayi, Bimbo Akintola, Zara Udofia Ejoh as leading characters.
93 Days is available on Netflix, so make sure it is a part of your weekend watch as we would be doing the same.
