Nigerian label, Toju Foyeh, who opened the doors to its new store in Nigeria on the 14th, has just released the lookbook to its 2014 ready to wear collection, “Rose Garden”. Shot by Obi Somto, styled by Bubu Ogisi and modelled by Banke Su, the range features chic cocktail dresses lush florals, as well as gorgeous fully-beaded and sequinned dresses, and an array of playful pants, sun and shift dresses, shorts and maxi dresses. Stylist, Alero reviews the collection:

” So the first word that came to mind while going through the pictures of Toju Foyeh’s new collection for the “Rose Garden” collection was “Wow”. Yes “wow”. I’m not quite sure what caught my eyes first; the beautiful fabrics, the styling or the fact that the clothes are actually pretty much very feminine and seems like the designer had almost any “body type” in mind, when putting the collection together. Well yeah, because depending on a designer’s muse for instance, he/she’s collection might be strictly for a certain type of body in mind.A rose garden certainly needs not much explanation to be able to understand what it looks like or insinuates in general. As we all know, roses are very much an epitome of romance, love, femininity and beauty. So imagine how a garden that has different types of roses in it would look like. Amazing and beautiful right?.

With that, it’d be easy to see what the designer hoped to project with her collection, with the use of fabrics such as chiffon, silk, infusion of lace and sequins that are sure to enhance the feminine curves of a woman.And yes! I love the twist she gave to the “oleku/knot wrapper” style: definitely has given a fresh vibe to the trend. Plus she tells us crop tops are still very much in trend,and is not going away anytime soon. As long as you have thattaut/toned tummy to flaunt.So be rest assured that there’s definitely something for literally anybody to readily wear in this collection, to casual/formal events, with of course the right amount/level of styling.”
