The 2023 edition of the Arise Fashion Week ends today in Lagos along with the jazz festival after marking its 20th anniversary.
With the theme “Future Forward”, the event showcases exceptional designers from Africa and the Diaspora, accompanied by jazz-themed performances.
The festival kicked off on Tuesday at Eko Hotel with a diverse lineup of world-class designers including Pepper Row, Mariya Sanusi, and Naomi Campbell, who set the stage on fire.
Multi-instrumentalist French Kiwi Juice (FKJ) performed on the opening day, providing a blend of jazz and electronic sounds.
On the second day, top designers such as Joy Meribe, Kenneth Ize, and Ituen Basi thrilled the audience.
Campbell is expected back today along with Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Lisa Folawiyo, and Tifanny Amber. Wizkid, an ARISE Fashion Week favorite, will also perform today, joined by jazz legend Herbie Hancock, making his Lagos debut.
With a diverse range of jazz-infused talent and a plethora of design legends, the 2023 Arise Fashion Week and Jazz Festival showcases African design and ARISE’s role in championing musical and design talents.
The ARISE runway has been graced by iconic models and music superstars including Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, Jay-Z, and Mary J. Blige.
