Global superstar Beyoncé has officially joined the ranks of billionaire musicians, according to Forbes, following an exceptionally lucrative run powered by blockbuster music releases, record-breaking tours, and strategic business ventures.

The Grammy-winning singer, now 44, crossed the billion-dollar threshold after a standout 2025, driven largely by her Cowboy Carter album, its accompanying world tour, and multiple high-value commercial deals. With this milestone, Beyoncé becomes the fifth musician in history to reach billionaire status, joining an exclusive circle that includes Jay-Z, Taylor Swift,Bruce Springsteen, andRihanna.

Forbes noted that her rise has been years in the making. The foundation was laid by the Renaissance World Tour in 2023, which grossed close to $600 million, followed by the Cowboy Carter Tour in 2025. That tour alone reportedly brought in over $400 million in ticket sales, alongside an estimated $50 million from merchandise.

In total, Beyoncé earned approximately $148 million before taxes in 2025, making her the third-highest paid musician in the world for the year.

A significant portion of her wealth can be traced to her long-standing decision to operate independently through Parkwood Entertainment, the company she founded in 2010. By overseeing her music, films, and tours in-house, Beyoncé has retained ownership of her work and maximized profits—an approach that has become central to her financial success.

Reflecting on that decision in a 2013 interview, she said, “When I decided to manage myself, it was important that I didn’t go to some big management company. I wanted to follow in Madonna’s footsteps, be a powerhouse, and build my own empire.”

Outside of music, Beyoncé has expanded her portfolio with ventures such as Cécred, her haircare brand, SirDavis whiskey, and her former fashion label Ivy Park. Still, Forbes emphasized that her core wealth continues to come from music—particularly large-scale stadium tours and ownership of her catalogue.

The Cowboy Carter Tour stood out for its ambitious production and cost-efficient structure. Designed as a mini-residency across nine major stadiums in the US and Europe, the tour delivered 32 shows while reducing logistical expenses. It employed over 350 crew members and required massive infrastructure, including cargo planes and hundreds of transport trucks.

Beyond touring, Beyoncé also secured major paydays elsewhere. She reportedly earned around $50 million from a Netflix Christmas Day NFL halftime performance, inclusive of production costs, and pocketed an estimated $10 million from endorsement deals such as her Levi’s campaign.

While her album-equivalent sales in 2025 were lower than some of her pop contemporaries, Forbes highlighted that Beyoncé’s unmatched ability to sell out stadiums continues to distinguish her in an industry where live performances generate the bulk of artists’ income.

Her touring legacy is already historic. In 2016, Beyoncé became the first female artist to headline an all-stadium tour, and she has successfully translated her live shows into concert films. Homecoming and Renaissance both made waves, with the latter earning nearly half of its $44 million global box office total.

In recent interviews, Beyoncé has revealed that Renaissance and Cowboy Carter are part of a planned trilogy of genre-blending albums. However, she has also hinted at scaling back future tours to focus more on her personal life.

“I’ve made a conscious effort to protect my boundaries and my family,” she said. “No amount of money is worth my peace.”
