Smiling is a great way to people’s hearts, but when your teeth colour prevents you from doing so, you know that you need to whiten them.
There are so many reasons our teeth could lose their whiteness and most of them are as a result of our own habits. Drinking soda, coffee, having poor diets, smoking cigarettes, and so many more are known to stain your teeth.
While there are many teeth-whitening products, some of them could have side effects. This is why natural processes are always better. Here are some natural ways you can whiten your teeth:
-
Brush twice a day
You have probably heard this a whole lot, but it still needs to be stressed. Brush your teeth first thing in the morning and last thing at night for effective results. You can also choose to brush after meals or after you take drinks so you can eliminate whatever effects they might have had on your teeth before it gets serious.
-
Charcoal
It is probably ironic how something so black can make your teeth white. But, research and testimonials have shown that charcoal is indeed a great tool for cleaning your teeth.
All you have to do is dip your wet toothbrush into powdered charcoal and use it to brush until all spots are covered. Brush carefully for about two minutes and you will be good to go.
-
Apple Cider Vinegar
If you want extremely effective results, then rub apple cider vinegar directly on your teeth then rinse with water. You can’t do this so often so you don’t make your teeth overly sensitive and so you don’t break down your teeth’s enamel. You can, however, also put a teaspoon of the liquid into a glass of water and use to rinse your teeth for milder effects.
-
Peels of citrus fruits
Lemon peels or orange peels are also wonderful when it comes to cleaning your teeth. All you have to do is rub the lemon peel over your teeth for about two minutes and then rinse with water. You can also blend the peel with water to form a paste and use that instead for more effective results.
-
Baking Soda
Baking soda might not scream ‘natural’ to you, but it works perfectly as well. You can choose to mix a few teaspoons of baking soda with lemon juice or water to make a paste and use that to wash the teeth. Mixing with hydrogen peroxide would also be great. Just be careful if you have really sensitive teeth.
