Self-Care Is Not Self-Indulgence

Welcome to Self-care September.

We have been taught to celebrate the woman who can do it all. The woman who wakes up early, handles the business, answers the emails, shows up for her family, leads her team, solves problems, attends events, meets deadlines and somehow still looks like she has everything under control.

But here is the question I want you to ask yourself this September: Who is taking care of the woman who takes care of everything?

Self-care isn’t selfish. It isn’t laziness.
It isn’t something you earn after you’ve worked hard enough.
And it certainly isn’t a reward for reaching the end of your to-do list.

Self-care is maintenance. Your body is the vehicle carrying your vision. Your mind is the engine powering your decisions. Your emotional well-being affects how you lead, create, love, and show up.

So this month of September, I’m inviting you to stop asking:
“Can I fit self-care into my schedule?”
Ask instead:
“What would change if taking care of myself became part of my success strategy?”

Think from the end.
See yourself at the end of this month energised, clear, rested, present and still ambitious.

Now embody her.
Make decisions from her.

September is not about doing less.
It is about abandoning yourself less.

On September 12, we will be bringing this conversation to life at the Wellness & Style Live Experience in Lagos. Come experience what it means to live well without burning out.
