Popular Television game show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM) has made a comeback with its host, Frank Edoho after Five years.
Frank, sharing a trailer of the show’s return on Twitter, wrote, “Hey everyone. I assume you know by now that I have been offered the role of Host of WWTBAM Series 2. My immense gratitude goes to all of you for hoping that I get the job. Thank you for your kind wishes and felicitations God bless you all. #FrankIsBack #WWTBAMTheReturn”
The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, to inform media and members of the public about the return of the popular show, which had been off the air since 2017.
According to the organisers, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Series 2 is scheduled to begin in March 2022 and will run for 52 weeks with up to N20 million as the winning prize.
The show, tagged as ‘Rebirth’, returns with a new lifeline, “asking the host”, to aid contestants when they are stuck on questions. The show’s other lifelines, “50-50”, “Call a Friend”, and “Ask the Audience” remain the same.
Also speaking at event, the Managing Director of UP, Agada Apochi, said the show is rebranded to thrill the audience.
“We are sponsoring Who Wants to Be a Millionaire to entertain, educate and excite Nigerians. The return of WWTBAM is coming with a bang that would create lasting memories in the minds of audiences… It is going to keep them on the edge of their seats as new millionaires emerge from the show.”
