Tagged the ‘Prosper Summit’, the conference is a result of the collaboration between Yetty
Williams and Blessing Adesiyan to lead deliberate conversations on changing existing
negative narratives around caregiving, motherhood, and parenting whilst proffering
strategies for women, families, and professionals seeking to navigate the extremes of work
and life, career and family demands successfully.

Parenting coach and Founder of ‘LagosMums’, a resource for parents and caregivers, Yetty
Williams who has independently convened 8 editions of the ‘LagosMums’ Annual Parenting
Conference stated:

“The Prosper Summit is an opportunity to understand our new reality
post-pandemic and for the modern Nigerian family, parents, and professionals to articulate
their peculiar challenges in their work-life journeys while finding help and support to manage their lives and responsibilities successfully.

I am excited to be elevating this conversation alongside Blessing to discuss the realities that continue to affect our careers, finances, family, and well-being. We are bringing together thought leaders, policymakers, and leading private institutions to help business people, professionals and parents find balance, support, and stability as they win at work and home.

Participants at the prosper summit are assured of deep and practical conversations, networking with like-minded people and thought leaders, and having a rewarding experience overall”.

She added that the Summit would afford stakeholders an inclusive platform to deliberate on effective means of supporting women at work and home. The goal of the summit is to
provide solutions for families to create practical work-life balance. She firmly believes that
when women and families succeed at home, well-being, productivity, and retention can only increase and invites all interested parties to join in creating a path towards a future where families prosper.

Blessing Adesiyan, co-convener of the Prosper Summit and Founder of ‘Mother Honestly’, a
US-based Care and Financial platform for women, family and work said, “As breadwinners,
primary caregivers or both, we are saddled with the emotional, physical, and psychological
demands of being support systems for our families. In Nigeria, culture has placed women on the receiving end of this unfortunate narrative. They are expected to carry on a savior approach; to juggling roles and tasks until they break down. In rare cases, men are also
caught in this rung. These scenarios beg the questions ‘who cares for the caregiver?’, ‘Who
supports these women and men who dedicate time, money, and other resources to ensure
the comfort of their nuclear and extended households?

The one-day event slated to hold on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Civic Centre,
Victoria Island, Lagos is expected to host a diverse audience including policymakers and
organizations, for a series of plenaries, breakout sessions, meditations, deep dives, games,
and other self-development activities.

The Prosper Summit also drives objectives pursuant to the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goal (8) which recognizes the importance of sustained economic growth and high levels of economic productivity for the creation of well-paid quality jobs…and the promotion of labor rights and safe and secure working environments, particularly for women.

The Summit will ultimately create a new avenue for deeper engagements, especially among full-time moms, and women in business and enterprise from the standpoint of work- life balance.

The Prosper Summit is also proud to announce that leading multinationals, media partners,
local and global brands are partners of this landmark event. The impressive lineup of
speakers will also keep participants adequately engaged. To register for the Summit, please
