ELOY Awards Foundation, a leading NGO dedicated to empowering women, is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its Mentoring Programme for Cohort 3. The program, held in 2023, was powered by FirstBank under the SMECONNECT platform and FirstGem.
The ELOY Sustainable Empowerment Programme is a transformative initiative aimed at equipping women with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to thrive in their personal and business lives. The programme provides women in business with access to entrepreneurial trainings, information on affordable loans, mentoring, networking opportunities and grants. Through a rigorous selection process after the ELOY Business Shower, a cohort of talented women in business were chosen to participate in this 3-month life-changing programme.
Over the course of the programme, participants had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one mentoring sessions with industry experts and leaders. These mentors, carefully matched based on the participants’ goals and aspirations, provided guidance, shared experiences, and offered valuable insights to help them navigate their respective fields.
The just concluded Cohort 3 of the ELOY Sustainable Empowerment Programme witnessed remarkable growth and development among its participants. Through the guidance of their mentors, the trainings and the support of the ELOY Awards Foundation and FirstBank, they gained confidence, honed their skills, and expanded their networks, setting them on a path towards success.
We are immensely proud of the achievements of our Cohort 3 participants, “The ELOY Foundation Sustainable Empowerment Programme has provided them with the tools and knowledge to overcome challenges and seize opportunities” these were most of the comments of the participants at the graduation ceremony on the 25th of November 2023. We extend our gratitude to our mentors and our sponsors, FirstBank, for their invaluable contribution in making this programme a resounding success.”
ELOY Sustainable Empowerment remains committed to empowering women and will continue to provide opportunities for growth and development through its Trainings, Mentoring Programme, access to funds and more. In 2023, 2,272 women registered for the ELOY Business Shower and 1052 were trained at the one-day event in 5 states across the country. These states include Lagos, Delta, Anambra, Kano and Osun. 50 women were chosen to be on the programme and 10 of them awarded the ELOY grant at the end of the programme. The NGO looks forward to welcoming future cohorts in 2024 and witnessing the positive impact they will make in their respective fields.
