Davido’s Account?… E Choke!
Nigerian artist, songwriter and record producer, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido took to his social media accounts recently to raise money from his friends and fans and ended up raising over #100Million in less than 5 hours.
It all started after Davido posted a video on Instagram urging his friends who refer to themselves as the 30 Billion Gang to send him a Million Naira each as he was tired of lifting up people.
He later shared his account details on Twitter, asking that his real fan send him money and the amount sent to him keeps rising by the minute with more of his fans sending money to the account.
Davido revealed that the goal for the account is #100 million as he wants to clear his new Rolls Royce from the port. He said earlier;
“Omo 7m in 10 minutes keep goin!! I love y’all! 😂😂😂 AIM NAH 100m I wan clear my rolls Royce from port abeg 😂😂”
Davido went as far as tagging all his friends, gang- Israel, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Mayorkun, Obi Cubana, Chief Priest, MC Galaxy, Sydney, and those he gave hit records to send him #1 million. Some sent the exact amount and others like MC Galaxy, Femi Otedola sent more than that.
Even brands like Martel, Munch It, and Wema Bank joined the list of #1 million senders. After 5 hours Davido share update via his IG-story that he has surpassed #100 Million and is now going up to 200 Million Naira.
