When it comes to footwear in 2019, there are two distinct Shoe Trends. At many spring/summer 2019 shows, we saw bold, maximalist shoes—we’re talking feathers, crystals and dramatic silhouettes. Many of these looked more like December party shoes than summer sandals. Then on the other end of the shoe spectrum, brands like Dior and Chanel introduced really simple flats—from ballet pumps to buttery soft Mary Janes.
In 2019, the shoe trends thus far show a real desire for items that look and feel expensive, such as tonal outfits and silky finishes that add an air of sophistication to any look. This feeling is extending into footwear too, as beige boots, pointed leather mules and classic pumps are the perfect addition to an elegant outfit.
