The Ghana Makeup Awards is back this year, on a much larger scale, and rebranded into Ghana Beauty Awards. Themed “Transforming the Beauty Industry: 5 Years On”, the event is set to hold on the 20th November 2021 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
In partnership with First Choice Hair & Beauty, the awards show is guaranteed to be a trendsetter in the beauty industry in Ghana, and Africa at large.
Leading up to the Ghana Beauty Awards awards night, an exciting lineup of activities has been set up at the 5th Africa Makeup &Beauty (AMB) Fair, happening on the 17th and 18th of November at the Dome, Accra International Conference Centre. They include exhibitions & discount sales, beauty business forums, workshops and seminars, beauty shows, live demos, trim avenue, and live demos.
CEO of Makeup Ghana, Rebecca Donkor expressed her projections for this year’s event and the reason for rebranding. She explained, _“We intended to open up the awards to encompass all aspects of beauty hence the change in name. What this means is that we are including all sectors in the beauty space. We are dedicating this anniversary to celebrating beauty brands and businesses and we are glad to inform you that we will be doing this in partnership with First Choice Hair & Beauty”._
It is evident that Ghana’s beauty industry contributes immensely to the country’s economy by raking in about 6 million dollars, as reported by the Euro Monitor and the AMB Fair, and the Beauty Awards’ contribution by providing a platform to achieve this fact is undeniable.
One of its rebranding models is including more diverse awards categories to the event which sums up to a total of 30 categories to the presented at the event.
