January 20 2021 will go down as a day history was made in America. From the first ever female vice president to the youngest inaugural poet and more.

The shade purple was very prominent amongst the ladies at the Biden-Harris inauguration. Purple signifies bipartisanship, which shows the unity between the democratic blue and the republican red.

Vice President Kamala Harris wore a bold purple coat designed by Christopher John Rogers , the 2020 CFDA American Emerging Designer of the Year

The men were not left out of the fashion scene, the 46th President of the United States accessorised his Ralph Lauren suit with a lilac tie. Ex President Obama was also seen with a blue tie.

Other colours on display were white as seen on Jlo, red and black as seen on Lady Gaga (who performed the National Anthem) and yellow on Amanda Gorman, the youngest poet to perform at a presidential inauguration.
