As part of MasterCard Wellness Month presented by Kamdora, Lagosians attended the Truppr 5km Run on 20 February 2016 on the iconic Lekki-Ikoyi toll bridge. Runners met at 6.30am, with Road Chef on Admiralty Way, Lekki being the kick off/rally back point.
To get the runners warmed up and ready, well-known fitness instructors Teshi from Truppr and Shedams led warm up and dance sessions.
Participants won lots of prizes from the run including the first three male winners of the run – Edetanlen Os Moses, Michael Abiola and Joseph Alfred – and the first three female winners – Amina Alabi, Funmilade Taiwo and Mbuotiem Brendan – who won Samsung Gear Fit Watches, presented to them by Kamil Olufowobi, Vice President of Acceptance, MasterCard West Africa. Other prizes included a raffle draw by TigerLily Gym, the first African owned fitness apparel company, who gifted participants with items from its range.
MasterCard Wellness Month gives MasterCard cardholders the opportunity to enjoy spa treatments, gym sessions and healthy food and drink options from select and premium merchants across Lagos.
